Escape from Duckov, a top-down PvE extraction shooter RPG developed by Team Soda and published by bilibili, is getting much bigger over the next year. During The Game Awards 2025, the team revealed a new desert region that will be added to the game in 2026.

The game is a light-hearted take on hardcore extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov, wrapping hard gameplay ideas in a cute, duck-themed style. Players explore maps that change each run, with random loot, enemies, and weather. Scavenging, crafting, and building up a home base are all key parts of the experience.

The trailer followed a duckling entering a dangerous and unfamiliar desert filled with cacti, heat waves, and gunfights against strange and scary enemies. The trailer also showed new weather effects, including extreme heat, which will add new risks and make survival and looting even more challenging.

Before the desert update arrives, players will get a free seasonal update later this week. A cozy winter update is set to launch on December 18 and this update promises new winter-themed content, likely including a snowy map or area, new enemies, special loot, and holiday events to enjoy while waiting for the bigger expansion.

Escape from Duckov first launched in Early Access on October 16, 2025 and is available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Mac App Store.
