AdHoc Studio is getting ready to bring Dispatch to more players with its release on Nintendo platforms. According to listings on the Australian Nintendo eShop, the superhero game will launch on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2 on January 29, 2026. This comes after the game’s launch on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in late 2025, where it completed its first season of story episodes.
Dispatch is made by the writers and directors behind story-driven games like Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us. The game takes a humorous look at the superhero genre. It follows Robert Robertson, once known as the powerful hero Mecha Man. After losing his mech suit in a public and embarrassing fight against his greatest enemy, Robert is pushed out of the spotlight. With no suit and no status, he ends up working an office job at a superhero dispatch center.
Instead of saving the city himself, Robert now manages a team of former supervillains who are trying to turn their lives around. His job is to send them out to handle emergencies across Los Angeles while also dealing with office politics, awkward conversations, and personal drama. Each hero has their own problems, and keeping the team together is just as hard as keeping the city safe.
Gameplay in Dispatch mixes story choices with tactical planning. From his desk, Robert must decide which heroes to send to each crisis using a strategy map that shows events happening around the city. These choices matter, as they can change how heroes feel about Robert, affect public safety, and shape the future of the agency. Players also need to improve their team by upgrading skills and unlocking new abilities, while balancing tense work relationships and everyday office life.
