PC players looking to grow their game libraries for less have a good reason to visit GOG right now. The store has launched its latest seasonal sale, called The Indie Promo, which began on January 3, 2026. The event focuses fully on independent games and features 1,474 titles with discounts of up to 95 percent. Players still have almost two weeks left to browse the sale.
GOG describes the event as a celebration of games made with strong personal vision, whether that comes through emotional stories, unique art styles, or new gameplay ideas. To help players find what they are looking for, the store offers a wide range of filters. Users can search through more than 30 tags and genres, adjust price ranges, choose supported languages, and sort by operating system.
Many of the discounts are among the deepest seen on GOG in recent months. Players with very small budgets can find deals under one dollar and some well-known indie hits are also heavily reduced, such as Darkest Dungeon, CONSCRIPT, This War of Mine and many others.
Beyond low prices, one of the biggest reasons players choose GOG is its DRM-free policy. Every game bought during The Indie Promo can be downloaded and played without online checks or third-party launchers, offering full ownership and long-term access. Many games in the sale also include extra content such as soundtracks, artbooks, or special editions.
