Qube and developers Secret Level Studios and Twin Hearts have announced a closed PC beta for Kitaria Fables 2, giving selected players their first opportunity to experience the action RPG before its spring 2027 release.

The Steam test will run from September 7th, 2026, until September 21st, 2026. Applications are already open and will close on September 4th, 2026, although registration does not guarantee access.

According to PQube, the English-only beta contains approximately 60 % of the planned final game and should take around ten hours to complete. Participants will have unrestricted access throughout the testing period before their licences are revoked. As it is a closed test, players will not be permitted to publish footage, livestreams, screenshots or other details online.

Kitaria Fables 2 follows newly graduated Royal Army Pathfinder Alice Skylar and local guide Dusty Tuftkin as they explore the Arkadera Peninsula. Their assignment involves reopening abandoned outposts, assisting settlements and charting wilderness stretching across forests, marshes, highlands and snowy mountains.

Both characters have individual combat styles and skill trees, with players able to unlock physical attacks, elemental spells and ultimate abilities. Materials gathered during exploration can be used to craft equipment, brew potions and prepare food. Farming also returns, with Alice helping Aunt Kiki restore and expand a neglected farmstead.

The complete campaign will support solo play alongside local and online two-player co-op. Kitaria Fables 2 is scheduled to launch digitally for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027.
