Publisher Playstack and development studio Deep Field have announced that Abiotic Factor, a sci-fi survival crafting game, will launch its 1.0 version this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The game will also be available on day one as part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Xbox Game Pass, making it accessible to a wider audience.
Set in the depths of a secret underground research facility, Abiotic Factor is a survival game for one to six players. You take on the role of a scientist working for GATE, a global network of secret research laboratories specializing in the study of everything from advanced technology to paranormal entities. However, after a catastrophic security breach, your workplace turns into a battlefield. Anomalous entities, interdimensional invaders, and the militant group The Order now rule inside the facility.
Each scientist has their unique abilities, and combining these skills with teamwork is crucial for survival. As you progress, you can unlock upgrades and new skills. Exploration plays a key role, as you must gather resources from offices, labs, and vending machines to build a base of operations. When it’s time to move, you can transport your belongings using hand carts, forklifts, SUVs, and even teleporters.
