AlteredBlood+ Lets You Weaponize Blood in Fast-Paced Arena Combat

The upcoming FPS AlteredBlood+ from TrueWorld Studios mixes brutal arena combat, fluid movement mechanics, and blood-fueled abilities into something that feels both chaotic and strangely stylish at the same time.

Set inside a gigantic megastructure that has essentially consumed the universe, you take control of a Reaper serving a mysterious entity known as Mother. Humanity’s last survivors now depend on her blood to stay alive, which immediately gives the game a dark sci-fi horror atmosphere before the shooting even begins.

The main hook here is how combat works. Enemies explode into blood, referred to as SAP, which can then be used to paint the environment and activate powerful weapon abilities. Players can soak themselves in blood to awaken different effects, combine them together for devastating attacks, and chain everything into extremely aggressive combat encounters.

Movement also plays a huge role in the experience. AlteredBlood+ leans heavily into fast mobility, platforming, and arena-style gunfights, encouraging players to constantly stay in motion while navigating industrial environments packed with enemies.

Right now, you can already try the game through a playable Steam demo featuring the first two missions. The developers have continued updating the demo with additional enemies, weapons, levels, and overall gameplay improvements as development progresses.

There is currently no official release date for the full version yet, but if you are into fast FPS games that reward aggression and mobility, AlteredBlood+ already looks like one of the more promising indie shooters to keep an eye on.
