Architect Life: A House Design Simulator was showcased during AG French Direct Spring 2024. Developed by Shine Research, it puts you in the shoes of an architect designing and building dream homes for clients. Expected to release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, the game offers extensive creative freedom with a wide range of materials, structures, and innovative building tools.
Architect Life provides a broad variety of materials, structures, and tools. From initial 3D planning to on-site decision-making, every part of the house design process is in your hands. You can manage heating systems, customise interiors down to the exact colour of the furniture, and enhance outdoor spaces with vegetation and various amenities.
In Career Mode, you become the manager of an architectural firm. Your tasks include handling modern housing projects, meeting client specifications, and adapting to different terrains. On the other hand, Sandbox Mode allows you to choose from 60 environments and terrains, offering a completely free creative experience. This mode is perfect for those who want to explore their architectural creativity without budget or objective constraints.
The game’s tools are designed to maximise your creative potential. For example, you can create precise dimensions and angle measurements, balconies, mezzanines, and structural extensions; access a wide selection of materials and finishes; optimise heating device placement; customise interiors down to the smallest details; and add vegetation, pools, playgrounds and other elements to enhance the exterior.
Once your projects are complete, you can switch to first-person mode to experience your creations. Test room performance under different lighting conditions by adjusting the sun’s position and enjoy the beauty of your work within its biome. You can also take photos in Photo Mode to share your architectural masterpieces with friends.
