BOKURA: Planet Just Got a Demo – Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Miss It!

Studio tokoronyori and publisher Kodansha Creators’ Lab have launched a demo for BOKURA: Planet, a cooperative adventure game that elevates teamwork and betrayal to a new level. This demo, now available for PC via Steam, provides players with a separate story as an introduction to the full game, which arrives on April 24, 2025.

BOKURA: Planet begins with two cosmonauts, convicted criminals, who are forced to land on a mysterious red planet after their spacecraft malfunctions. Stranded in an unknown world, players must team up to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. Unlike traditional co-op games, the planet’s reality looks different to each player. Through voice chat, partners must describe what they see and work together to solve challenges that affect both their worlds.

An added layer of complexity is introduced by a secret objective system for each player. These hidden tasks force them to question their partner’s motives, all in an effort to create tension in the cooperation. A new “shove” mechanic allows them to obstruct each other, either by blocking progress or maliciously pushing their partner off a cliff.

Building on the team puzzle-solving from the original BOKURA game, this sequel introduces the concept of trust and its fragility. According to creator tokoronyori: “By adding an element of tension and constant questioning of your teammate’s intentions, fans of the first title will enjoy a completely new experience.”
