Lighthearted adventure game with dating sim elements Building Relationships has now been delayed from its previously planned Q1 2026 release window to sometime later in 2026. Solo developer from Tan Ant Games shared this news on the game’s official Steam page, acknowledging that the project is taking longer than expected to finish properly.

In the update, the developer explains that while they had hoped to release the game in the first quarter of the year, they realized they had underestimated the amount of work still needed, especially on the final polishing stages. The delay is not due to adding new features or scope creep, but rather a commitment to investing more time and care into making the experience as authentic and high-quality as possible.

In this game you take on the role of a house (literally a building) exploring a cozy island, rolling, jumping, and wave-dashing around to meet and romance other anthropomorphic structures, such as a flirty windmill named Millie or a himbo tent called Tenet. The game mixes wholesome platforming exploration with absurd, humorous romance scenarios among buildings, including options to go on dates or even fish for cars instead of actual fish.
