Capybara Games, the award-winning studio behind Below and Grindstone, has revealed its newest project Find Your Words. This short adventure follows a child at a colorful summer camp who is learning to communicate without using speech.
The game will be released for free on Steam in 2026 and was first shown during the Wholesome Snack showcase. It is a heartfelt project created by two parents inspired by their own children’s journeys to find their voices and connect with others.
Co-creator Jon Maur explained that the team wanted to highlight different ways people communicate and give players a chance to try a simplified version of a common AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) tool. The story focuses on forming friendships and building a sense of community while wandering through peaceful campsites filled with wildlife.
As players explore, they gather symbols for their communication binder. By combining these symbols in different ways, they create new meanings that open up fresh interactions and activities. Over time, as friendships grow, players begin to discover the unique personalities and small quirks of the campers around them.
