Wildflower Interactive, a studio founded in 2022 by veteran game director Bruce Straley, known for his work on Uncharted 2, The Last of Us, and Uncharted 4, has revealed its first game Coven of the Chicken Foot. The title is a creature-focused puzzle and platform adventure with emotional tone and it is planned for release on PC via Steam. No launch date has been shared yet.
The game takes place after the usual fantasy stories have already ended where the dungeons have been cleared, and the heroes have moved on. Players step into the shoes of Gertie, an older witch who has spent years waiting for her chance to prove herself to the coven. Unlike classic heroes, Gertie does not rely on swords or fast movement. Her strength comes from her determination and her ability to work closely with a strange creature companion.
Built using new technology, it is not a simple helper but a living character that watches the player, learns from situations, and changes its behavior over time. It develops new skills as the story unfolds and reacts in ways that can surprise everyone. The bond between Gertie and her companion grows throughout the adventure, turning their relationship into a core part of how the game is played.
