Publisher ARTE France, developer Fishing Cactus, and co-producers Atlas V, 3dar, and Be Revolution Gaming have announced Gloomy Eyes: The Game, a dark narrative puzzle game coming to PC via Steam in 2025. This title is an adaptation of the award-winning animated virtual reality film Gloomy Eyes.
The game centers on the mysterious zombie boy, Gloomy, and a young girl named Nena. Players must use their unique abilities to solve puzzles and help the duo on their quest to make the sun rise again. As they progress, players will uncover a poignant story about loneliness, diversity, and love.
Inspired by the artistic style of the original VR film, which won “Best VR Film” at the 2019 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Gloomy Eyes invites players into beautifully crafted dioramas.
