Bridgebourn is an action-adventure RPG developed entirely by solo creator Siavash Ranjbar, also known as Bamboo Bandit, under the studio Bamboo’s Bazaar. After nearly a decade of development, the project is shaping up to be a unique blend of handcrafted artistry and technical experimentation.

One of Bridgebourn’s most striking features is its visual presentation, which uses 2D techniques such as parallax scrolling, warped sprites, and dynamic camera transitions to simulate a three-dimensional world. The result is a semi-open, hand-painted environment filled with various landscapes and mysterious dungeons. Players step into the role of a treasure hunter who becomes cursed, setting off on a journey through the Fadelands to uncover secrets and ultimately lift the affliction.

Gameplay focuses on exploration, combat, and party-building, with players assembling a group of companions who accompany them throughout their adventure. Combat includes a mix of weapons, reactive abilities, and a spell-crafting system that allows for combining different effects into powerful chain reactions.

Alongside traditional exploration, you can traverse the world through sailing or even by flying on creatures. The game also supports both solo play and cooperative options, including local co-op and Steam Remote Play Together. A playable demo for Bridgebourn is currently available on Steam, where the full game can also be wishlisted.
