In Dungeons Deep, you battle against orcs, goblins, demons, skeletons, spiders, dragons, and many other creatures, designed for single-player or cooperative play. The story follows an order of old soldiers and mercenaries who return to the infected kingdom of Antioch. Their goal is to plunder the dungeons in search of ancient artifacts and free the former kingdom from the creatures that lurk in the dark, attacking those who remain.
The challenges posed by Dungeons Deep primarily depend on the diverse tactics and behavior of the enemies you face. Enemies will often learn from your actions and change their approach. Mistakes are punishable, so it is crucial to understand and exploit the enemies’ weaknesses to survive. Through steady progression and a branching skill tree, you can shape your character as you advance. There are no weapon restrictions, meaning every class can use any weapon they wish.
Hand-crafted rooms constantly change when you enter a dungeon, providing a new experience every time. Also, the rooms within the dungeon come in various themes with enemies and boss fights from different factions. Therefore, each dungeon offers a unique challenge, rather than the repetitive feeling of completely randomly generated locations.
Invest your gold in building a camp and upgrades that will help you on your missions. Summon a blacksmith to craft exotic weapons, or a wizard to unlock magical scrolls. Hiring mercenaries or mules for carrying loot are also options that will ease your journey. You can expect hundreds of satisfying loot options in several rarity types that will enhance your abilities and help you specialize your character. You can also find and mine resources to craft weapons and armor.
Dungeons Deep can be played in singleplayer or cooperative mode with up to four players, and it is expected to be available on PC via Steam.
