It seems the team at Mixed Realms Pte Ltd enjoys experimenting with different genres and platforms. Three years ago, they released the highly successful deckbuilding RPG Gordian Quest, while last year they launched the VR first-person shooter Hellsweeper. Their titles have consistently been of high quality, and 13Z is expected to uphold that reputation. This time, 13Z will be an action roguelite with hack-and-slash elements, something entirely new for them.
Zodiac Trials invites you into a world where animal spirits yearn for the title of the 13th Zodiac, facing off against demons and familiar guardians. This action roguelike adventure puts you in the role of an outsider dreaming of celestial glory, battling in massive arenas and constructing powerful builds. The game lets you choose from six animal spirits, each with unique abilities and playstyles.
Dive deep into the upgrade system as you unlock various modifiers to overcome the ever-changing challenges of Zodiac Trials. Rewards include scrolls, the aforementioned upgrades, and new characters, ensuring you always have goals to pursue as you progress. In addition, there’s a single-player mode where you can hone your skills, or you can team up with friends in co-op, where teamwork becomes essential for defeating tougher enemies and bosses.
13Z does not yet have a confirmed release date, but it will be available for PC via Steam.
