During the Nintendo Direct Showcase, Chucklefish revealed the first gameplay trailer for the long-awaited life simulation Witchbrook. The game is being co-developed by Chucklefish and Robotality and will be available this winter on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Xbox, offering a unique school-life experience set in a magical world.

Set in the charming coastal town of Mossport and its surrounding mystical forests, the game follows the daily life of students at Witchbrook College. Between magic classes, players can explore the forests, participate in seasonal events, sell handmade goods at the market, or decorate their own forest cabin. Online co-op will allow up to four players to experience the academy’s magic together.

Rodrigo Braz Monteiro, one of the key creators, highlighted that Witchbrook offers an incredible level of detail for an indie project, combining pixel art aesthetics with layered interaction systems. Artistic director Steph Caskenette added: “This game is like a love letter to the simple magic of everyday life.”
