The studio behind the hits Doki Doki Literature Club Plus and Slay the Princess, Serenity Forge, announced their latest project Fractured Blooms, during Summer Game Fest 2025. This psychological horror farming simulation, inspired by a true story, promises a chilling experience. The announcement was accompanied by an unsettling trailer, and the official Steam page for the game has been opened.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Fractured Blooms features beautiful visuals, the work of artist Satchely, known for Doki Doki Literature Club. The voice cast is led by Nichole Goodnight, known for the game Slay the Princess. The game is set in a seemingly cozy rural home and follows Angie, a young girl trapped in a time loop of gardening, cooking, and cleaning. But beneath that peaceful surface lies a dark story of trauma and abuse.

The gameplay in this title merges “cozy” farming simulation with psychological tension, where you manage stamina to tend to crops, which are used to cook meals. These meals unlock new recipes and increase energy for nighttime chores. As the loop deepens, the atmosphere becomes increasingly oppressive, memories surface, and the house itself becomes more terrifying. Resource management and careful planning are key to uncovering the truth behind Angie’s plight.

Fractured Blooms will be available for PC via Steam and Xbox Series X/S.
