Publisher Chucklefish and developer Pugstorm, known for Core Keeper, have announced their new 2D sandbox multiplayer adventure titled KYORA. During The Game Awards, the first trailer was revealed, giving us a glimpse into a world where every pixel can be mined, built upon, or transformed.

In KYORA, you’ll explore a procedurally generated open world, discover magical materials, and travel through diverse biomes. Each region offers unique challenges and resources, while bosses known as Heralds guard these treasures. Creativity plays a major role, as you can shape every pixel—whether building bridges or creating platforms during battles. As you might expect, KYORA draws clear inspiration from Terraria, so you can expect similar elements.

Additionally, crafting and upgrading are central to survival in the wild environments. In other words, you’ll gather resources to forge powerful weapons, grow crops, cook recipes, and craft armor. Co-op also plays an important role: up to eight players can play online together, combining their skills and abilities to create unique synergies as they progress.
