The gaming market is in desperate need of titles like REPLICORE. Let’s face it, when was the last time you played a game that lets you shoot enemies, solve various puzzles, isn’t just a pure action-packed title, and lets you transform into a ball?

As a co-op shooter set in an ancient sci-fi world, the core gameplay loop revolves around transforming into your core form so you can roll, dash, or let your teammates throw you, pulling them out of tight situations as you tackle different challenges and puzzles.

Shooting is fairly straightforward: headshots deal more damage, while body shots deal less. The longer you stay in one area, the harder the game becomes. The early version we played at Nordic Game Spring 2024 grabbed our attention from the very beginning. You simply have to cooperate with your teammates to complete the game. For example, teammates need to throw you to higher places while you’re transformed into a ball, or cover you while you try to capture certain points as enemies shoot at you.

There’s also the Outburst ability, which allows your friends to throw you straight into groups of enemy units or onto their weak spots to blow them up. You can also modify this ability and choose between various effects. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players, and after completing missions you earn experience points and high-tech resources to upgrade your cores. In addition, you can customize your weapons and gear.

You can find REPLICORE on Steam, however, the developers told us it will take them a few more years before the game is fully completed.
