Fans of survival horror eagerly awaiting Post Trauma, the upcoming title from Red Soul Games and publisher Raw Fury, will need to exercise a bit more patience. The game, originally scheduled for release on March 31, 2025, has now been postponed to April 22, 2025 due to “unexpected circumstances,” as confirmed by the development team.

The title was first showcased at The Game Awards 2022 and was originally planned for a spring 2024 release. It was then pushed to October 29, 2024, and later to March 31, 2025, partly likely due to feedback from the Steam Next Fest demo presentation.

In Post Trauma, players assume the role of Roman, a middle-aged train conductor trapped in a surreal world following a panic attack. The game draws heavy inspiration from classics like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, combining fixed camera angles with modern visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. Players can expect a haunting atmosphere, grotesque monsters, and intricate puzzles.

In a statement on Steam and social media, the developers cited “unfortunate, unexpected circumstances” as the reason for the delay, without providing further details. They emphasized their commitment to the game: “We want to ensure that players’ first experience with Post Trauma is special,” acknowledging potential fan frustration but stressing that the delay was necessary to avoid relying on post-launch patches for critical fixes.

This latest delay suggests that technical, logistical, or even personal challenges have slowed the final phase of development. Nevertheless, Raw Fury and Red Soul Games now stand firmly behind the new date, calling April 22 the “final” release date. Priced at $14.99 / €14.99, Post Trauma remains an accessible entry into the survival horror genre, and interested players can still try the demo available on Steam.
