To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, developer Edmund McMillen has announced a significant update for the beloved action RPG shooter, along with a special Steam sale for the game and its DLCs. On November 18, fans can look forward to a free update introducing online co-op to Rebirth, giving players the chance to explore Isaac’s haunted world with friends for the first time.

This new multiplayer mode arrives alongside a major patch that will adjust several items based on player feedback, focusing on improving items fans have considered weak or ineffective.

McMillen expressed his excitement about this milestone and hinted at the game’s long development journey, sharing that features for Rebirth were originally designed in Flash even before the current art style was finalized. He also revealed an interesting detail for fans: the character now known as “The Lost” was originally named “The Witness.”
