Taiwanese indie studio 7QUARK, in collaboration with global publisher Game Source Entertainment (GSE), has announced the release date for their action RPG, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade. The game will be available starting April 24, 2025, on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

The game’s plot is set in Japan’s Edo period, in a world where the harmony between humans and demons has been disrupted. Chaos has been caused by the devastation of the Nine-tailed Fox, plunging the land into complete turmoil. Players will take on the roles of three different protagonists as they fight through the cycle of life and death to restore balance.

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade combines art inspired by traditional Japanese culture with roguelite mechanics. Players will explore a vibrant world and participate in challenging battles that demand skill, strategy, and adaptability. During your journey, you will have the opportunity to collect various types of upgrade items. In addition to weapon parts, you will also encounter ingredients for gourmet recipes.

The road to the game’s release hasn’t been easy. In 2024, the studio faced significant challenges, leading to an urgent Kickstarter campaign to fund the final development phase. The campaign was a major success, raising 152% of the requested amount. The community provided immense support, and the collectible “Taketora Collection Pack” sold out in record time, prompting the addition of 300 extra packs for players.
