Hooded Horse has announced ENDLESS Legend 2, the next installment in the award-winning fantasy strategy series developed by the renowned French studio Amplitude. The game was revealed during the annual Amplified event and promises to take players on an journey full of mystery, discovery, and tactical challenges. The first ENDLESS Legend was published by SEGA back in 2014, and now, after a long 11 years, it is finally receiving its sequel.
ENDLESS Legend 2 builds upon the success of its predecessor, pushing the boundaries of turn-based strategy. Players will once again return to the unique and deeply immersive world that Amplitude is known for, but this time they will explore a completely new environment, filled with fresh stories, factions, and challenges. The game will, of course, combine deep strategic gameplay with rich narrative.
Although details are still scarce, it has been revealed that the setting will be Saiadh, a beautiful but dangerous ocean world where the environment is constantly shifting. The trailer hints at dramatic seasonal changes, with monstrous tidal waves reshaping the landscape, creating both obstacles and opportunities for players. As the water recedes, new levels and secrets are revealed, which should encourage exploration and adaptation.
You will have to navigate these shifting conditions while confronting old threats and uncovering secrets hidden deep within Saiadh. Each cataclysm brings new dangers, but also opportunities for growth and advancement, suggesting that no two playthroughs will be the same. Analyzing the trailer and based on the first installment, players will likely take on the roles of various factions. At least one of them resembles humans, while another looks like centaurs. Additionally, humanoid insects are also present among the races fighting for supremacy over this world and its inhabitants.
ENDLESS Legend 2 will release in Steam Early Access in 2025, giving players the opportunity to experience the game early and use their feedback to help shape its further development.
