Blaze Entertainment has officially announced Evercade Nexus, the latest addition to its growing lineup of retro gaming hardware, with a launch scheduled for October 2026. Designed as an evolution of the Evercade ecosystem introduced in 2020, the new handheld aims to modernize the experience while preserving its core philosophy of physical cartridge-based gaming. Pre-orders are set to open on April 1, with the device priced at $199.99 or €199.99.
At the center of the Evercade Nexus is its continued commitment to physical media, supporting a library of more than 80 cartridges and over 700 games spanning decades of gaming history. The system ships with a new Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack cartridge, featuring improved versions of Rare’s classic titles Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. These updated releases include improvements such as widescreen support, refined camera controls, and compatibility with both analogue and non-analogue inputs.
It also features the largest screen in the platform’s history at 5.89 inches, with increased brightness for improved visibility, alongside dual analogue sticks that expand compatibility with 32-bit and 64-bit titles. The redesigned form factor includes ergonomic grips, stereo speakers, and wireless headphone support. A new wireless feature, EverSync enables local multiplayer by allowing two devices to share a single cartridge without requiring an internet connection, reflecting a focus on accessible social play.
In addition to the standard model, Blaze is releasing a limited Evercade Nexus 64 Edition, restricted to 2,000 units and featuring a design inspired by classic consoles, along with exclusive accessories and packaging.
