Publisher Blumhouse Games and developer Gambrinous have announced that Eyes of Hellfire, a new cooperative gothic horror game, is coming to Early Access on PC via Steam on August 27 for 9.99 €. To give players a chance to experience the game early, an open beta test is available now and will run until August 11.
In Eyes of Hellfire, you and up to four friends are trapped in the headquarters of the Hellfire Club, an abandoned hunting lodge. The game is inspired by real Irish legends of the secret society. As a small group of people who have been cursed, you must explore the grounds, cooperate, and try to escape before your souls are lost.
The game’s core experience is to solve the curse with two-to-five players. Your team shares the goal of escaping the haunted lodge, but each of you also has hidden solo objectives. Using proximity voice chat, you can work together or question their motives, Also, in this game you start with a limited number of action cards and can discover new and better ones as you explore the lodge, which will alter your playthrough and strategy.
Eyes of Hellfire will feature a Steam Friend’s Pass, which allows players who don’t own the game to join a friend’s session for free. Those who purchase the game will get access to additional features like character progression, new card unlocks, and various customization options.
