Steel Wool Studios has announced Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, the newest installment in the cult horror series. The game is set to release on June 13th for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, promising intense moments of fright and a deeper exploration of the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe mythology.
In Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, you enter an abandoned workshop inside Murray’s Costume Manor, a place filled with dark secrets and hidden dangers. The story follows Edwin Murray, a reclusive inventor whose unfinished project conceals a deadly prototype: the Mimic. This adaptable endoskeleton can take on any costume and transform into any character, including your worst fears.
Armed only with your wits and a few gadgets, you must explore the labyrinthine manor, solve intricate puzzles, and find valuable Fazbear prototype technology. However, the Mimic is constantly watching you, and its relentless pursuit keeps you on the edge of terror as you uncover the manor’s secrets.
The Mimic, a character first introduced in the series of horror novellas, now takes the central role in the game. Its ability to adapt and transform adds a new dimension of fear, as you never know what form it will take next.
