Food Puzzle Game UMAMI is Coming to Steam This Year

Indie studio Mimmox has announced its debut title UMAMI, a “cozy” 3D food puzzle game that will be available on PC via Steam later this year. The announcement trailer showcases a fun and peaceful world where you can get creative with cooking. A demo version will be available during Steam Next Fest in June 2025, which should provide an early look at the game.

In UMAMI, you immerse yourself in 15 handcrafted and hand-painted dioramas, each representing a dish conceptualized by characters like Chef Bumblebake, Chef Sushibe, and the cooking couple Chef Honey and Cuddle. The goal is to stack wooden blocks on a 3D board, rotating them and adjusting their position to recreate dishes like pancakes, sweet snacks, or onigiri. Furthermore, the puzzles have no time limits, penalties, or wrong moves.

The dioramas are also packed with secrets, and you will be able to find cute animals that you can pet and collectible cards, which rewards exploration. From breakfasts to pastries and gourmet burgers, the puzzles are sure to satisfy different tastes.
