The multiplayer game Bare Butt Boxing is officially leaving Early Access and launching for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on August 1. PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions will arrive later. Bare Butt Boxing first entered Early Access for PC on May 4, 2023.

In Bare Butt Boxing, colorful and mischievous aliens come to Earth to host unregulated boxing matches. The goal is to launch opponents, or a giant beach ball, into portals to score points, depending on the mode you’re playing. The player with the most points at the end of the round wins.

This title offers various modes and multiplayer options. You can face up to three friends locally, join up to six players online, or fight bots in single-player. Punches aren’t the only way to win, you can collect item boxes that grant special abilities, such as a powerful vacuum that sucks in opponents and throws them out, or super frenzy mode that gives you extra strength and speed to dominate the match.

“We are incredibly grateful to all the players who joined us during the Early Access phase,” said Tuatara founder Klemen Lozar in a press release. “With version 1.0, we wanted to round out the game with more content and a stronger focus on local multiplayer, which was highly requested.”
