The co-op cleaning game, Goblin Cleanup, has been delayed. According to a post from the developer on X, the game’s Steam Early Access launch has been postponed to September 18, 2025. This is a three-week delay from the previously announced date of August 28.

Developed by Crisalu Games and published by Team17, Goblin Cleanup flips the usual dungeon-crawling story on its head. Instead of fighting monsters, you take on the role of goblins whose job is to clean up dungeons after adventurers have finished with them. The game is designed to be a co-op experience where you’ll need to alert while using tools like the mops, mimic or slime dispensers to clean blood from floors and ceilings.

The development team, which consists of only three people, explained the reason for the delay: “Our three-person team has been working hard with our publisher to add the best co-op experience we can before we open our gates to you and your goblin friends.” The extra time will allow them to incorporate player feedback and ensure the game is the best it can be for its launch.
