Harebrained Schemes, the studio known for BATTLETECH and the Shadowrun Trilogy, has revealed its next game called GRAFT. The post-cyberpunk survival horror RPG was shown during the Horror Game Awards 2025 with a new “Inosculation” trailer. The game is in development for PC and will launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

GRAFT takes place inside the Ark, a massive station the size of a continent. Once built for a clear purpose, the Ark is now a broken world filled with biomechanical citizens who continue to work without knowing why. Players must find a way to escape this disturbing place, exploring deep, shifting maze-like structures, and dangerous techno-catacombs along the way. Progress depends on uncovering lost technology and learning the hidden truth behind the Ark.

At the heart of the game is body transformation where survival means using your own body as a weapon. Players collect Grafts, which are living and mechanical upgrades taken from defeated enemies or found in hidden parts of the Ark. Each Graft adds new abilities and tools, letting you shape your own playstyle and approach to combat and exploration.

These changes do not come without a cost. Every new Graft brings strange urges and broken memories that begin to affect your sense of self. Players must decide how to deal with these fragments and accept the results of their choices. Over time, these decisions shape both the story and the relationships with other characters, making each journey through the Ark feel personal and unsettling.
