Team Cherry, the acclaimed developers behind the highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight, have confirmed the release date and pricing for Hollow Knight: Silksong. The game is scheduled to launch on September 4, with a price of 19.99 dollars in the US or 19.50 euros in Europe.

This price point is notably affordable for such a highly anticipated release and aligns with recent reports that show a strong preference among PC gamers for titles priced under 20 €. Valve’s own statistics from the Steam platform support this trend, with a significant portion of successful games launching below 30 € or even 50 €, proving that a game’s success is not dependent on a high price tag.

The announcement comes after a long wait for fans, as the game releases eight years after its predecessor. Despite the lengthy development, Team Cherry recently confirmed that the project was “never stuck” and that they are considering expanding the story further.

Hollow Knight: Silksong shifts the focus to Hornet, the Princess Knight, who must escape an unfamiliar kingdom ruled by silk and song. The new adventure promises new lands, powers, mighty enemies, and secrets for players to uncover.
