Artis Impact has officially launched on August 7th on PC via Steam with “Very Positive” reviews. According to the developer who has shared the information, the game sold over 10,000 copies in just two days, a significant achievement for a small project. This success shows the unique and sometimes surprising power of the indie gaming scene.

The game’s sole developer Mas expressed his surprise and gratitude in a heartfelt statement on Steam: “To be honest, I never expected this. For a ‘little project’ that I’ve been working on by myself for nearly five years, receiving so much love is incredibly, truly touching!” Mas mentioned how much he enjoys seeing players discuss the game, share “cute moments,” complain about the strange characters, and uncover the game’s secrets.

For those who don’t know, Artis Impact is a RPG game that features a streamlined, turn-based combat system. In other words, players can meet and overcome challenges without needing overly complex strategies. You can also improve the main character Akane’s strength through training and upgrade her weapons to take on powerful bosses and the game combines these simple retro-inspired combat mechanics with a deep and mysterious world.

Despite its success, some players noted the game’s bugs, overly simple gameplay, and a weak storyline. One Chinese review even criticized a design choice, stating: “I’ve never seen a game where only money is inherited in New Game+.” While not perfect, the game is still considered another success story.
