Berlin-based creative agency INSTINCT3 has announced the formation of Sidekick Publishing, a new venture created to offer full-service publishing support to indie and AA game studios.
The new company is led by industry veterans Jasmin Oestreicher and Melvin Frank, both of whom are co-CEOs and co-founders. Oestreicher, who also serves as CEO of INSTINCT3, highlighted the importance of staying in touch with the gaming audience. She emphasized that authentic content and creator-led marketing are essential for lasting impact, particularly with an audience that is highly sensitive to overly commercial or inauthentic messages.
Frank added that the new company is a culmination of lessons learned from previous releases. He stated that Sidekick is their way of combining publishing knowledge with their unique expertise in creator and community engagement to raise the bar for how they support indie developers. Frank’s vision is to focus on games that align with their approach and to make every launch “their best one yet.”
The first game to be released under the new publishing brand will be Deadly Days: Roadtrip. The 2.5D pixel zombie apocalypse roguelike action game from developer Pixelsplit is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in 2025.
