Representatives from JollyCo are preparing to present their games (Anima Flux) at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, which is scheduled to run from March 18th to the 22nd. You can find their dedicated space at Booth #3125, located near the GDC Play Lounge. JollyCo is a team of game designers, composers, programmers, scriptwriters, and artists.
This year’s Game Developers Conference event is set to be the largest yet, gathering numerous developers in one place. Among the many games being showcased, one that might capture your interest is the unique co-op Metroidvania, Anima Flux. It has been selected as one of the 10 finalist studios for the exclusive two-day event, GDC Pitch. GDC Pitch, hosted by funding consultant Jason Della Rocca, will take place on Wednesday and Thursday (March 20th – 21st) on the GDC Partner Stage on the Expo Floor, North Hall, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
“We will be presenting the game and gathering feedback at our booth throughout the conference. Attendees will have the chance to experience the gameplay and features firsthand. Our goal is to establish valuable connections within the game industry, media, and players. Every suggestion and idea could lead to a fruitful collaboration!”

If you are a fan of exciting adventures that involve a blend of action and narrative set in a distinctive dystopian world, Anima Flux provides just that. The plot revolves around two elite soldiers, and as players, you will utilize their unique abilities and skills—one is depicted as a swordsman, the other as an archer. Each player will take control of one soldier, and both characters develop differently as the game progresses. You will also face the challenges posed by dangerous mutants and plan strategies with a friend in epic boss battles.
The world in Anima Flux is meticulously crafted, presented through the artistic lens of a retro sci-fi aesthetic from the 80s–90s. The game thoughtfully creates various futuristic 2D visuals intertwined with a dark cosmic atmosphere. With hand-drawn animated cutscenes, distinctive enemies, and side characters, the game gracefully immerses you in a human world of the distant future.
Besides confronting various enemies, the game presents unique environmental challenges and puzzles that involve a lot of jumping and climbing. But that’s not all—you have the ability to cheat death by transferring your Anima using implant technology. Everything you expect from the Metroidvania genre can be found in this game.
Anima Flux is planned for release in the fourth quarter of this year for PC (Steam and GoG), and versions for Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo are also expected. Stay updated with the development progress by following them on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Discord. For additional details, visit the official website. The demo is also playable on Steam.
