Development studio Coincidence and publisher Astra Logical announced Kaizen: A Factory Story, a puzzle game about automation set in 1980s Japan, at the IGN Fan Fest. From the creators of well-known games such as Opus Magnum and SpaceChem, Kaizen offers complex opportunities to design, build, and optimize production lines in factories across Japan.

We play as David Sugimoto, a young American born in Indiana, who starts his first job at Matsuzawa Manufacturing thanks to a family connection. What makes this game special is the variety of products you will design and build, from calculators, cameras, arcade machines, and much more. Prepare to weld, cut, and drill objects as you progress through different levels.

Besides the main content, Kaizen also offers additional activities like playing Pachi-Sol, a pachinko-themed solitaire game. Additionally, you will be able to share your most efficient solutions with friends by simply exporting GIFs, which adds a social aspect to the game.

Kaizen: A Factory Story will be available on PC via Steam later this year.
