If you’ve ever dreamed of driving on endless roads, feeling the wind in your hair, and experiencing the simple joys of a summer adventure, then Keep Driving is the game for you. Developed by YCJY Games, this car-based RPG just arrived on Steam after years in development and has already been declared one of the best PC games of 2025.

The story is set in the early 2000s, and you take on the role of a young adventurer with a newly acquired driver’s license and a dream of reaching a distant music festival. The journey won’t be easy, though; traffic jams, bad weather, and bumpy country roads are obstacles you’ll have to overcome. With careful planning, good resource management, and a bit of luck, you’ll be able to navigate the challenges of the open road and reach your destination.

The game is played from a 2D perspective, and each drive brings unique “Road Threats.” These turn-based obstacles require you to manage your fuel, car condition, and personal energy to overcome challenges like potholes, traffic congestion, and even bees flying in through the window. Each threat can damage your car, deplete your fuel, or reduce your energy.

During your turn, you can use abilities and items to defend yourself, for example, dodging potholes, calming down with a cigarette, or swatting away an annoying bee. The system is simple yet detailed, allowing you to upgrade skills, discover new passive abilities, and use items to stay on track. The game also introduces hitchhikers who join you as crew members. Each hitchhiker brings unique abilities, their own stories, and side quests.
