Lichthund and Team17 are developing ROCKBEASTS, a unique story-driven, role-playing management game where players take on the role of a legendary band manager in the 80s-inspired world of rock and roll. The game is set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

The band members themselves are not just any musicians; they are a group of anthropomorphic animals with their own unique personalities and egos. As their manager, you’ll have to make tough, narrative-driven choices that directly impact the band’s journey, balancing their artistic integrity against the alluring call of fame and fortune.

The gameplay combines management mechanics, requiring you to make sure the band is in shape for their next gig by booking venues, finalizing setlists, and managing their mood and health. With 17 original full tracks to perform, the game aims to be a love letter to the MTV era and its iconic anthems. Players can either act as a selfless manager, helping their band realize its creative potential, or use them as a stepping stone to their own success.

ROCKBEASTS features acclaimed writing from Jakub Szamałek (The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077), a cast of voice actors from major titles, and a surprise appearance from punk legend Iggy Pop. The newly revealed trailer offered a deep look into the core gameplay and aesthetic.
