Murky Divers is a co-op horror game set in the eerie depths of the ocean. Co-developed by Embers and Oro Interactive, the game blends elements of Subnautica and Lethal Company, promising an intense and thrilling underwater experience. This new title was showcased during the AG French Direct Spring 2024 event.

In Murky Divers, you and your friends play as divers exploring abandoned underwater laboratories. Tasked with erasing all traces of your employer’s failed experiments, teams must navigate the dark waters in a cheap submarine. The main objective is to collect body parts as evidence while dealing with limited oxygen supplies and looming dangers.

The core gameplay revolves around a unique and engaging loop. Successful missions earn money that can be used to purchase better equipment and modules for future dives. The atmosphere is rich with horror elements, creating a tense cat-and-mouse dynamic between players and the underwater creatures they must avoid.

The developers chose Early Access to actively involve the community and refine the game based on player feedback. This phase is expected to last about a year, during which the game will receive frequent and meaningful updates.

The Early Access version already offers a complete gameplay experience, including core systems, procedural maps, various monsters, equipment, and submarine upgrades. However, the full release will expand this foundation with more creatures, rooms, biomes, items, and content influenced by community input.

Murky Divers is set to launch in Steam Early Access on June 19, 2024. You can also team up with up to three friends, using proximity voice chat and immersive 3D audio to navigate the procedurally generated wrecks filled with danger.
