Templar Media, in partnership with developer Bible X, has released new gameplay footage for its upcoming time-travel action-adventure game Gate Zero. The new footage gives a first look at the ancient city of Capernaum and teases one of the many familiar miracles woven into the game’s storyline

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Gate Zero features iconic, historically accurate locations and people. The story follows a rebellious teen named Max, who is sent back in time to 30 A.D. after a time-travel accident. Here, he explores ancient Israel and uncovers profound truths that a ruthless, dystopian government is trying to erase.

The main conflict revolves around Max’s mission to protect real history from the United Futures Initiative, a futuristic organization that controls the world by censoring historical information. This is why you must navigate markets, evade Roman soldiers, and stop the future regime’s evil efforts. The game allows you to witness miracles, assist legendary Biblical figures, and battle Roman forces and evil entities to save history, the future, and your grandmother.

The footage from Gamescom shows a mission in which Max attempts to rescue a man named Baroo, a former member of a Jewish resistance group. United Futures has removed Baroo from the timeline because he is the paralyzed man who is famously healed by Jesus. The video concludes with Max successfully rescuing Baroo, who is then healed by Jesus, thus restoring the event to the timeline.
