Well-known game publisher North Beach Games has shared two exciting announcements. First, they are opening a new studio in Prague. Second, they have begun development on Stranded Deep 2, the sequel to their popular survival title Stranded Deep.

The new Prague studio will be led by two experienced game industry professionals. Sam Edwards, formerly CTO and Creative Director at Beam Team Games and the original creator of Stranded Deep, will assume the same roles at the Prague studio. Joining him is Tomáš Pšenička, who has a strong background in game development as the former General Manager at Keen Software House, creators of Space Engineers.

The core development team will primarily work from the Prague office, but remote work opportunities will also be available, allowing contributors from around the world to take part. This approach enables the studio to attract global talent, fostering a diverse and creative team. The studio’s main focus will be on developing and supporting survival crafting games, titles where players gather resources, build shelters, and survive in challenging environments.

In addition to developing new games, North Beach Games plans to continue expanding their publishing efforts. They will maintain collaborations with well-known partners, including Free Range Games and Middle-earth Enterprises. One of their major ongoing projects is The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, which they are developing alongside these partners.
