Microsoft has released its November 2025 system update for Xbox, introducing two major features aimed at improving both the console experience on Windows and the accessibility of in-game assistance on mobile devices. The update rolls out the Full-Screen Experience (FSE) more widely and makes the Gaming Copilot available in beta on mobile.

The Gaming Copilot (Beta) is now accessible via a dedicated new tab within the official Xbox mobile app. This feature, powered by contextual in-game data, allows users to receive real-time help through voice or text input directly on their mobile devices.

A promotional image showcasing the feature on an iPhone demonstrates its versatility, including:

  • Receiving instant game recommendations, such as Sea of Thieves.
  • Getting step-by-step guidance on complex in-game activities, like starting a new voyage.
  • Accessing personalized in-game help, achievement progress, and tips tailored to the user’s current situation.

The Full-Screen Experience (FSE) is now generally available on more Windows 11 handheld devices and is rolling out in preview for Xbox Insiders and Windows Insiders on PCs, laptops, and tablets. FSE provides a console-like, distraction-free user interface optimized for controllers, delivering a cohesive, gaming-first environment on various devices.

Furthermore, the update includes specific improvements for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users engaged in Cloud Gaming. Subscribers can now select their preferred resolution, choosing up to 1440p for select titles before launching the game, giving users more control over their streaming quality.
