Solo developer Jardar Solli has announced that Seablip will launch in Early Access on PC, Mac, and Linux on May 17. This upcoming open-world pirate adventure is planned for a full release in 2025. Soon, you’ll be able to explore, build, plunder, and fish as you fight to survive on the high seas.
Explore the open ocean in a colorful world filled with diverse islands and enemies waiting to be defeated. Seablip draws inspiration from titles such as Faster Than Light and Sid Meier’s Pirates!, offering freedom in shipbuilding and fishing. You can upgrade your ship with additional cannons and inventory space, hire new crew members to assist you on your adventures, and gather resources on your behalf — whether that’s chopping wood, mining ore, or growing crops with the available tools.
Take part in various minigames and activities as you progress, build bases, and use your fishing rod. You can also discover treasure or earn it by selling goods, and use rewards found throughout the world to improve your pirate reputation as you build your fortune. After successfully funding the game through Kickstarter and releasing a well-received demo during Steam Next Fest, solo developer Jardar Solli is now refining many of the game’s existing mechanics and adding new features to this already ambitious RPG.
