The life simulator Paralives, inspired by The Sims franchise, recently got a new gameplay video, revealing that the game is planned for an Early Access release in 2025 on PC via Steam and Mac.

The video begins with a showcase of the Paramaker, the character creation tool. It features various personalities that evolve during gameplay, as well as talents, perks, and a “vibe” option like energetic, gloomy, or serious. Paras can also have custom sleeping and cleaning habits, which further enriches their personalities.

The new trailer highlights group activities and how they work. To socialize or move in a group, you can click and drag to select several Paras at once and direct them to have a conversation, go for a walk, or exercise. During a conversation, a “cohesion bar” fills up, and after an hour of playing, you get a choice of relevant “cohesion cards” you can pick for the conversation. These choices include typical life-sim topics like hobbies, flirting, and others, sometimes determined by your Para’s personality.

Another important announcement in the Paralives trailer is that although the game will cost money to purchase, it won’t have paid DLCs, only free expansions. While there’s still a lot of time until the public Early Access launch next year, this information is a positive addition to the future competition in the life simulation genre.
