Publisher Game Source Entertainment, in collaboration with development teams TVT and Ratata Arts, presented a new gameplay trailer for Ratatan, a rhythmic roguelike action title, during the ID@Xbox Showcase. The game, slated for launch in 2025, is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam, and blends rhythmic mechanics with side-scrolling action.

Ratatan was created in collaboration with Hiroyuki Kotani, designer of the legendary PATAPON series. In the game, you take on the role of the Ratatan, using magical instruments to command an army of Cobuns in battles. By following rhythmic sequences, you issue commands to attack, defend, and execute special skills, thereby creating a dynamic fusion of music and action.

Featuring richly detailed graphics and a diverse cast of characters, designed by illustrator and character designer Nelnal, the game also offers multiplayer mini-games and a completely new system that further enhances this multiplayer experience. Thanks to TVT’s proprietary “Theory Engine,” Ratatan promises a fast and stable online multiplayer environment, making it an excellent choice for co-op play.
