Publisher tinyBuild and developer Mandragora, the studio behind I Am Future, have announced ReStory, a simulation game that will transport players to Y2K-era Japan to run their own electronics repair shop. The title is scheduled to launch for PC via Steam in 2026.

ReStory combines tactile repair gameplay with a relaxing atmosphere, shop management mechanics, and a unique cast of characters. Players will fix iconic pieces of 2000s tech, including cell phones, digital pets, home appliances, music players, and cameras, and notably, officially licensed Atari systems, such as the Atari 2600 and Jaguar.

The core loop requires players to grow their business by carefully going through every step of the tech-repair process: unscrewing, cleaning, soldering, repainting, and reassembling devices to bring them back to life. Shop management extends to taking orders, managing finances, and hunting for spare parts online via an old-school in-game web browser.
