Developer and publisher Dreamhaven and Secret Door announced Sunderfolk, a new couch co-op tactical adventure set in a vibrant fantasy world. Designed for up to four players, the game emphasizes teamwork and creativity, offering a shared-screen experience reminiscent of classic tabletop games.

In Sunderfolk, players embark on a mission to save their home village of Arden, journeying through mines, forests, and labyrinths. While battling monsters and exploring, they uncover secrets, meet colorful characters, and develop strategies to overcome challenges. The game uses phones or tablets as controllers, making it accessible without complicated setups. Players can manage items and skills, interact with NPCs, and engage in turn-based combat using a card-based system.

Chris Sigaty of Secret Door highlighted that the game is inspired by the team’s love for social and tabletop games: “We wanted to create something easy to pick up but challenging enough for everyone to enjoy.” Mike Morhaime, CEO of Dreamhaven, described Sunderfolk as “a beautiful game full of personality and charm,” adding that it encourages direct cooperative moments among players.

Sunderfolk will release on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch in 2025.
