The Way of the Tray promises to be a unique game that blends action with various puzzles, as you play as a waiter set in a world of spirits. This title is known to be published by Targem Games and is currently being developed by Who is Terry?. Inspired by Studio Ghibli films, the game will offer a colorful and imaginative environment full of traditional Japanese mythology.
The core of the game lies in the balance between the physically demanding tray management and the fast-paced service of guests. You must carefully stack and carry dishes with meals like onigiri, sushi, ramen, and fortune cookies, all under the watchful eye of a strict head chef. Every mistake, such as dropping a dish, costs you in the form of reduced tips, which are key to upgrading skills, paying rent, and unlocking new abilities.
The Way of the Tray combines chaotic fun with a cozy atmosphere, which will appeal to fans of simulation games like Overcooked. The game is expected to be available for PC via Steam sometime this year. Additionally, we got a first look at the gameplay through a new trailer.
