April brought us several exceptional titles, such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, while May promises a diverse array of games, from beloved cozy titles and city-builders to exciting action games that will immediately win you over. Without further ado, we present a list of 12 indie games we will be playing this May.
Pixelshire takes you to the sprawling continent of Arcadia, where you can explore enchanted landscapes, uncover hidden treasures, fish, mine precious ores, and shape the world to your own desires. In The Precinct, you take on the role of police officer Nick Cordell Jr., set in 1980s America. The game challenges you to navigate a city plagued by warring gangs, urban decay, and police corruption while striving to restore order. Patrol the city, solve various procedurally generated crimes, from minor offenses like traffic tickets to major incidents like bank robberies, all to protect the citizens.
Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade combines art inspired by traditional Japanese culture with roguelite mechanics. Players will explore a vibrant world and engage in challenging battles that demand skill, strategy, and adaptability. During your journey, you will have the opportunity to collect various types of items for upgrades. In addition to weapon parts, you will also encounter ingredients for gourmet recipes.
In House of Legacy, we find ourselves at the head of our surviving kin. With the rebel forces having breached the city walls, we decide to embark on an arduous journey in search of asylum. After arriving in a regional town untouched by the chaos, it’s time to use our tactical skills to ignite the flame of a burgeoning dynasty. Your choices will shape a new empire from the very foundation stones of your vision.
