Deep Water Studio has just launched its World War II submarine game UBOAT out of Early Access, a title that offers a detailed look into life aboard German submarines. Originally released in 2019, the game is available for PC via Steam.

“Update 2024.1 brings numerous improvements, new features, and refined content that will enhance your submarine warfare experience. But this is just the beginning! We remain committed to expanding and perfecting UBOAT. Updates are already in the works and we can’t wait to share them with you in the coming months,” the Deep Water Studio team said on Steam.

While UBOAT is a detailed submarine warfare simulator, it still allows for a fair amount of customization. Players can adjust settings to make the game more challenging or more accessible, depending on their preferences. The game has received positive feedback, with 16,218 reviews – 82% of them positive.

At its core, UBOAT includes an in-depth damage system and a long-term career mode. The game also emphasizes survival and strategic planning, requiring careful resource management and tough decision-making during missions. As you progress, you gain access to better equipment and more advanced submarines, and it’s been a long time since we had a title like this.
