Although Nordic Game Spring 2024 ended two weeks ago, there are still several games worth talking about. Among them is Foxo, a free online party game that blends creativity, relaxation, and community engagement. Developed by Glowfish Games AB from Gothenburg Sweden, Foxo promises a unique and cozy gameplay experience.

In Foxo, you enter a vibrant online world where you can explore various environments, customize your fox avatar, and participate in mini-games. The game is built on three pillars: comfort, community, and creativity. You can decorate your personal spaces, design unique avatars, and interact with others in a warm, friendly atmosphere. You may notice similarities to games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Stardew Valley, but Foxo aims to be a platform where anyone can enjoy playing games or simply chatting with others.

The title began as a solo side project in 2018 and eventually evolved into a full-fledged endeavor with the founding of Glowfish Games in 2023. The development team, led by CEO Oscar Rickett, includes passionate developers dedicated to creating a game that emphasizes fun and inclusivity. The game is also built in Unreal Engine 5, promising high-quality visuals, while multiplayer features allow players to connect and share experiences.

As the game prepares for its Early Access launch in 2025, Glowfish Games is committed to regular updates, new features, and seasonal events to keep the world lively and engaging. Luckily, there is Steam page but no trailer yet.
